Windows Movie Maker 2.1 - The original Movie Maker comes with Windows XP; this upgrade downloads directly from Microsoft into your computer. (There is no separate installation file.) Movie Maker will capture video from your digital video camera in uncompressed avi (or its own small-size proprietary format), and create simple videos. Templates and add-ins are available on the Microsoft site. Movie Maker cannot burn to CD, so you will have to use another program for this purpose.
