_____ 4. We have several different cameras with different memory types.

Downloading your images for printing or editing

Downloading images into the computer can be a daunting chore for the uninitiated. You have your digital camera full of pictures, and now what do you do with it? If you want to print or download your pictures, you can do one of the following:

•  Remove the memory stick, take it to your local discount store and insert it in the digital camera kiosk, where you can print out your pictures on photo paper. You can choose which images to print and what size, etc.

•  Load your camera into a camera dock that attaches to your printer or computer (or both), and the camera software will automatically allow you to edit, download and print your pictures.

•  Insert the memory card into the memory card slots that are commonly found in newer photo printers. The photo printer will automatically print out your photos.

•  Insert it into a separate card reader plugged into your USB port, or a card reader installed into the front of your computer, open up the drive letter (or use the accompanying downloading software), and download your photos onto your hard drive. Downloaded photos can then be edited and printed using photo editing software.

•  Attach the USB cables to either the printer, computer, or both, turn on your camera, and with some simple instructions on your camera you can either print, or with the help of installed software, you can download into your computer. Downloaded photos can then be edited using photo editing software.
