Orb

1. Create a new image with size of 150x150 pixels.


Create a new layer and fill it with black.

 

2. Filter>Render>Lens flare

Brightness should be 100%, and Lens type should be 105mm Prime.

3. Go to Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates, Set options to Polar to Rectangular.

Then go to Image>Rotate>Flip Vertical. Your image should look like the one at right.

 

4. Go once more to Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates , only this time, set the options to Rectangular to Polar and select Ok.

By now your orb should be taking shape, and should look similar to the image at right.

5. Select the elliptical marquee tool while holding down the Shift key (to make a perfect circle), then make a circle around your orb.

Hold down CTRL+Shift+I (or Select>Inverse) to invert your selection, then press Delete to remove the excess border from your image.

6. Resize your image if it is too large.

To change the color of the orb, go to Image>Adjustments>Color Balance, and change the colors however you like.
