Blue Fire This is a variation of the common Fire tutorial

1. Create a new document with black background. The image mode should be RGB. Write your text in white.

Right click the layer in the Layers Palette and choose Rasterize,” or go to Layer>Rasterize>Type.  
Flatten your layers:  Layer>Flatten

 

Go to Edit>Transform>Rotate 90° CW

Go to Image>>Adjustments>>Invert

then Filter>Stylize>Wind.

Choose Wind and from the left.

2. Again go to Image>Adjustments>Invert

then Filter>Stylize>Wind.

Choose Wind and from the left.

Now do this once more (CTRL+F repeats the last action).

Repeat CTRL+F if you want more fire.

3. Then rotate the text back to normal using Edit>Transform>Rotate 90° CCW.

 

Filter>Distort>Ripple, 100 %     

4. Image>Mode>Indexed color.  
In the menu that appears, choose the following:
Palette=exact (this may be grayed out)
Forced= None

Then go to: Image>Adjustments>Invert

5. Now go to: Image>Mode>Color table, Black Body

The last thing you do is  Image>Adjustment> Invert
